Amber – Dental Hygienist
Amber’s ready to make your smile sparkle with a deep professional cleaning. A graduate of the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center, Amber has been passionate about dentistry for over 19 years. She has post-graduate training in nitrous administration and local anesthesia. She joined Huet Dental in April of 2012, and is happy to provide excellent care to patients in the same community she calls home. Amber resides in Magnolia with her husband and two wonderful daughters, as well as their sweet Goldendoodle, Jax. She is actively engaged with the community through the Tres Dias Christian Community, Fellowship of Montgomery, the school PTO, and the Magnolia Booster Club. Outside of the office, you’ll likely find Amber at one of her daughter’s volleyball games, as it’s the family’s favorite sport. She also enjoys cooking and getting to know new people, which is evident in the way she cares for each patient that comes into the practice. “I feel very blessed to be able to get to know so many wonderful patients. I always want them to leave knowing that I truly care about their comfort and not just their oral health, but their overall health.”
Kim – Recare Coordinator/Dental Assistant
With twenty years of dental experience, Kim’s happy to help you achieve the smile you’ve always wanted. Kim also attended the Houston Dental Assistant School, and has been a Registered Dental Assistant for 15 years. She joined the team at Huet Dental in 2012, and is so proud to be part of a caring group of professionals that really love what they do. Kim believes the most unique part of the dental office is how well everyone gets along and how they all feel like family. Outside the office, Kim can be found relaxing with her husband in the yard, walking her two dogs, or patiently waiting for her two children (both newlyweds) to start families of their own. She loves that her job allows her to do something every day and interact with the patients in a way that makes them feel as passionate about oral health as she does.
Leyda – Dental Assistant
Aside from Dr. Huet, Leyda is one of the original parties of Huet Dental. Leyda first came to Dr. Huet’s office as a translator, working part-time after school. After graduating high school, Dr. Huet invited her to become an assistant. Leyda’s professionalism is beyond apparent, and her love of dentistry shines through. After 16 years of working closely with Dr. Huet, Leyda is proud of her commitment and accomplishments. She understands the importance of building trust and relationships with patients, and thinks the most rewarding gift is that of a smile. Leyda loves the atmosphere in the office, and her enthusiasm for her work only adds to the overall feeling of compassion and kindness that makes people love coming to Huet Dental. Leyda is a staple for Spanish speaking patients, as she is vital in translating patient concerns and treatment options so everyone understands.
Mel – Treatment Coordinator
Mel became interested in dentistry as a challenge to herself. She wanted to prove she had what it takes to do the job, and 21 years later, she’s definitely done so. After seeing how rewarding it was to make a patient smile, Mel knew she had chosen the right path. She began her career in 1995 in Key West, and due to military obligations, she found herself moving around a lot. Now with Dr. Huet since 2013, Mel is responsible for making sure patients understand their treatment plans, as she goes over all the options available and helps patients choose which ones best suit their needs. A real outdoors-woman, Mel loves hunting and fishing, and volunteers with the Conroe Animal Shelter on her days off. She has two daughters and five grandchildren, which make her smile. If you have any questions about your dental treatment, Mel’s ready to answer.
Tara – Financial Coordinator
After graduating from ATI Dental Assisting School, Tara knew she wanted more than just a job. She wanted a career. She’s been in the dental field since 2000, and joined Huet Dental in May of 2012. She’s known around the office as the go-to problem solver, and that’s fine with her. She provides patients with a valuable service as the resident Insurance Advocate and Systems Coordinator, which means she’s got answers to questions you may not even realize you have. Currently, Tara resides in Conroe with her husband, and between the two of them they have seven children and nine grandchildren, which keep them very busy. Tara keeps family very close to her heart, which is one of the things she loves most about working with Dr. Huet – that each patient is treated like a member of their family. Tara also respects the amount of education and knowledge that Dr. Huet has, and loves that the atmosphere encourages learning. Tara’s prepared to answer any questions you have about paying for your dental care, so never hesitate to ask for her by name.
